Big Match EPL Fixtures Liverpool Chelsea

This could be a do-or-die clash for Liverpool against Chelsea.  Liverpool has dropped too many points over the past few weeks and has slipped to third place in the EPL results table.

Liverpool drew 1-1 with Chelsea in this corresponding fixture last season and beat them 1-0 at Stamford Bridge earlier this season to end Chelsea’s 86-match undefeated run at home.   Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari knew exactly how pivotal this clash will be.  “It’s a game that will decide the direction of winning or not winning the championship”, cliamed the manager.

Second placed Chelsea won 2-0 against Middlesbrough at Stamford Bridge in their last league outing, making two successive wins since losing 3-0 away against Manchester United.  Liverpool drew 1-1 away against Wigan Athletic in their last league outing, making a run of twelve games undefeated since their last league defeat (2-1 away against Tottenham Hotspurs).   The Reds have also drawn their last three consecutive games.

Both teams have struggled and dropped crucial points recently.  They will be equally desperate to win to ensure that Manchester United do not pull away after only recently overtaking both in the table. recently overtaking both in the table.

At the moment, they seems to be evenly match and our prediction for this big match is Liverpool (1) v Chelsea (1) draw.
