EPL Results: Manchester United stormed to top of EPL table

Manchester United stormed to the summit of the EPL table with a 4-1 victory over Middlesbrough.   The Red Devils notched their eighth consecutive league victory, as well as scored 4 goals in 4 consecutive matches (the other 3 were achieved at the expense of Wigan, Aston Villa, Dynamo Kiev).    This is no longer the side that can only manage 1-0 results from the early season.

The Red Devils have regained their firepower, with Rooney, Tevez (2) , Nani scoring yesterday.   Even with Ronaldo, looking out of sorts by his standards, missing a couple of chances, The awesome combination of Nani, Tevez and Rooney set the pace going as early as 3rd minutes when Nani received a pass from returning Owen Hargreaves, and drove an unstoppable shot from 30 yards.   A hardworking and resilient Boro however took just 3 minutes to equalize.   Rooney restored the lead on the 33rd minutes when Downing was caught dwelling in possession in his own box, allowing Nani’s pass for Rooney effort to smash the net.   United increased its lead via Carlos Tevez effort at 55th minutes.   Five minutes before time, Tevez completed the rout after having his shot deflected into goal.
