EPL Fixtures: Big Sunday Match (Manchester United v Chelsea)

It has been a shocking week with the sudden departure of ‘The Special One’, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.  With Chelsea in disarray, Manchester United is set to register its 5th win (Since its loss at the Manchester derby to City, the defending EPL champions has 4 straight 1-0 wins – over Tottenham, Sunderland, Everton and Sporting Lisbon) in a row.

Although Alex Ferguson may be dismayed by the loss of a genuine rival, he is likely to be a relieved man now, considering his Red Devils results with the Blues.   They have only won 2 out of 10 meetings, and lost 5.  Now it might be the best time to beat Chelsea again.

Manchester United’s firepower was given a big boost this week with Wayne Rooney’s return from injury.  Rooney has yet to score against Chelsea, and with Chelsea’s Ricardo Carvalho out injured, and John Terry poor form, it is a golden chance for him to break his duck.

Our predictions:   Manchester United 2 Chelsea 0

Liverpool mid-week draw with Porto has drawn a lot of criticism.  Birmingham will have to face a backlash.

Bolton 0 Tottenham 1
Tottenham has yet to win away this season.  They will have a great opportunity to change the fate against bottom club Bolton.

Fulham 0 Manchester City 1
City is likely to continue their good run for this season.  Their strong counter-attacking game will be something Fulham find hard to handle.
